Australian Construction Awards 2018

The ACA recognises the achievements, developments and innovation within Australia’s booming construction industry and feature a wide range of categories for solution providers, contractors, architects, developers and local authorities.

Weathertex was one of the 13 Winners of the 2018 Australian Construction Awards, taking out Supplier of the year for 2018.

The industry relies on a number of stakeholders to keep projects moving. Supplier of the year is a company that provides quality, on time, every time.

In the Limelight

Weathertex have been stepping into the limelight more and more recently, winning the MBA 2017 National Export Award – for Products and Manufacturing, and we were also finalist of Architecture and Designs 2017 Sustainability Awards in the Building Product category. This is a big step up from our small town roots of the Raymond Terrace (NSW – just outside of Newcastle) factory.

Our 2017 achievements, coupled with winning Most Trusted Brand proves this is a company to keep your eyes on. These awards reflect a company that’s becoming more and more unique in the modern Australian landscape – a 100% Australian owned and manufactured company that provides jobs to regional towns, able to walk the walk in ‘eco-friendliness’ through third party accreditation, with a product that’s good enough to compete on a global scale.

Consumers worldwide have ever increasing interest in knowing what exactly are in products, and ours 97% Australian hardwood timber and 3% wax ingredients answers this need perfectly.

Our popular Weathergroove panelling range comes in some of the largest available sizes in Australia (3660x1196mm) which means that the vertically grooved panel makes installation on large buildings much quicker than traditional cladding. The exclusive joining system has been designed to clip onto the rebated edges of each panel, blending in perfectly with each Weathergroove sheet for a continuous panel finish.

Weathertex’s Weathergroove joiner is currently only available in PVC, however in our efforts to continuously produce better products that look amazing, are easy to install and have longevity, we will be replacing this PVC joiner with the NEW Trimtec Aluminium Joiner, available from the 1st of March in the three Weathergroove panel sizes 3660, 2745, 2440mm.

ExteriorBoard / HighImpact board range is rebranded as EcoWall panels to the market effectively on the 1st of March 2017. As part of this new exciting name we have also introducing 2 new sizes in the Smooth range for a greater level of customisation and more flexibility in wall panelling design.

EcoWall Woodsman and Natural have remained the same, however the Smooth we have added the 2 additional sizes.

EcoWall will continue to be the ideal choice when facing lightweight constraints with our accompanying precision accessories. It complies with the requirements set by the External Hardboard in AS/NZS 1859.4: it is a strong and robust product, yet lightweight and the large size panels make installation quick and easy.
EcoWall durability makes it the best choice for both residential and commercial, such as:
  • Exhibition buildings, sports facilities
  • Entertainment centers linings
  • School halls
  • Wall and façade linings and
  • Decorative linings in homes and commercial premises
